The Koster islands are located just outside Str\u00f6mstad in northern Bohusl\u00e4n. On the ferry from Str\u00f6mstad you can easy see Norway. Koster is two islands, the North and South, which are separated by a narrow channel, and south of the islands the archipelago spreads out in hundreds of tiny islands. The south island is the major one with 3 jettys for the passenger ferry that runs Str\u00f6mstad – Koster. There is a ICA supermarket, gas station, gym, tennis court (outdoor).<\/span><\/p>\n

The islands are almost car free except the one ambulance, firetruck and some small companies cars and a few tractors.<\/span><\/p>\n

The easiest and most comfortable way to get to the islands is to go with the\u00a0 passenger ferries from the northern harbor in Str\u00f6mstad with daily departures throughout the year. The journey takes between 30-50 minutes depending on which route the boat takes, Eken\u00e4s is the name of the port you will disembark at. Then it’s just a short walk to kl\u00e4pphagen, up past the visitor center called Naturum and after about 7-10 minutes on the right you will find us.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you need a pick-up at the port, you are welcome to book a pick-up or drop-off with us by sending a request to info@klaphagen.se<\/span><\/p>\n
